City Park Nature Connection
September 13, 2020 @ 9:00 am - 11:00 amFree
We will spend two hours connecting with our surroundings at Baton Rouge City Park.
During this gentle session you’ll be guided through a series of exercises designed to quiet the mind, deepen your connection to the world around you and tap into the wisdom of nature. These will entail some sitting, mindful walking, journaling and environmental art.
Bring something to sit on (blanket, sitting mat), pen and paper for journaling, water and anything else you need to keep comfortable outdoors (comfortable clothes & shoes). We will be working with natural materials gathered from the ground.
Apart from my guidance, most of the session will take place in silence. It’s an individual practice, enhanced by sharing space and intention with others. There will be a chance to share experiences and discuss towards the end.
We will follow current Louisiana Department of Health guidelines around Covid 19, and observe 6 feet physical distancing throughout the session.
Numbers are limited, so please only RSVP if you are coming. To ensure your spot, please send a donation of any amount to https://paypal.me/liliakapsali?locale.x=en_US
The funds will go towards covering Meetup membership for the group, which costs $98.94 for 6 months.
We will meet at the water fountain by the Baton Rouge Gallery at 9am. Use the entrance on Perkins Road. Please be there on time as we will spread out in the park and you might not find us.
If the weather is unsafe (heavy rain, storms) and the session is cancelled, you will be notified the evening before via the email address you book with. If the session is cancelled, you will receive a full refund. If you can’t make the session, please email me to let me know – I require 24 hours notice for a full refund.
